Kibale National Park is home to around 1,450 chimps, offering you an incredible opportunity to learn about their lifestyle and social interactions with other monkeys. This tour will take you on a fascinating walk through Bigodi Swamp, where you can spot at least five different species of monkeys. Additionally, you’ll hike to the “top of the world,” a vantage point that provides breathtaking views of three beautiful crater lakes, showcasing the stunning landscapes at the heart of this remarkable ecosystem.
Kibale National Park, the largest forest park in Uganda, spans an impressive area of 975 km² and is home to over 13 species of primates. Located to the east of the majestic Mountain Rwenzori, Kibale is renowned for its stunning landscape, featuring beautiful crater lakes and lush vegetation. The park enjoys a generally pleasant climate, with average annual temperatures ranging from 14 to 17 degrees Celsius. This unique ecosystem not only supports diverse wildlife but also offers visitors a remarkable experience of Uganda’s natural beauty and rich biodiversity.

Pick Up from Entebbe Airport
Karibu! Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our driver will be waiting for you with a sign clearly labeled with your name or the team leader's name. After the introduction, he will assist you with your luggage—"please accept how Ugandans treat guests"—as he transfers you to the hotel. If you’re continuing your journey from either Murchison Falls NP or Queen Elizabeth NP, we will be on the road to Fort Portal.Drive to Kibale National Park
Today, enjoy a picturesque route through the rift valley, taking in the stunning views of Lake Albert and charming local villages. The journey lasts about 5 hours and may be tiring, but the beautiful farmlands and lush countryside typical of Uganda will keep you relaxed. You’ll have a short stop in Fort Portal for lunch at a nearby restaurant before continuing to your hotel.A Day with the Chimps and Swamp Walk
After an early breakfast at the hotel, it's advisable to carry at least two water bottles. If you plan to participate in chimp habituation instead of tracking, a packed lunch is recommended. Our tour begins with a briefing from a ranger about the rules and regulations for encounters with chimpanzees, birds, and other monkey species. If you choose to go for the Full Day Chimpanzee Habituation experience, remember to book early, as only six people are allowed per day. In the afternoon, we will embark on the Bigodi Swamp Walk, which will take you through small communities and beautiful scenery. Here, locals will teach you about crafting and herbal medicine, and you’ll have the opportunity to taste some of the finest local gins and beers. The highlight of the walk is the chance to see at least five different species of monkeys and catch a glimpse of the Blue Turaco!Discover the Sampaya Hot Springs & Birding
Semuliki National Park covers 220 sq km in Bwamba County, Western Uganda, near Fort Portal. The park features an extension of the Congo’s Ituri rainforest. One of the park's unique attractions is the Sampaya Hot Springs, where you can boil matooke (bananas) and eggs ready to eat within minutes. During your visit, you may see various wildlife, including hyenas, buffaloes, leopards, elephants, and vervet monkeys. Activities here include game drives (including night drives), chimpanzee trekking, and birdwatching.Drive to Kampala
In the morning, enjoy a walk through coffee plantations and small communities to reach the "Top of the World," where you can see three volcanic craters. Next, visit the Tooro Kingdom Palace to learn more about the ancient history of Africa. If you prefer, this activity can be replaced with a trip to the Semuliki NP hot springs for an additional $50. This concludes your trip, and you may either head to your next safari in Queen Elizabeth NP or return to Kampala.Location
