Tour Plan

Arrival and Hotel Transfer

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a representative from our company will welcome you. You will then be driven to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore this vibrant city as you wish. Should you desire to visit Mabamba Swamp or Ngamba Island, our team will be happy to arrange a car or boat for you upon request.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, we'll set off on an eight-hour road journey to the home of the mountain gorillas. As we travel, you'll have the entire day to take in the scenic beauty of Uganda, famously known as 'The Pearl of Africa.' A highlight of the trip is a stop at the iconic Equator mark in Kayabwe, a must-see location that offers stunning photo opportunities. Be sure to have your camera ready for some unforgettable shots, and don't miss the chance to browse the local craft shops for unique souvenirs.

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your day begins at the UWA briefing point in Bwindi, where local performers will entertain you before each group is assigned a gorilla family to trek with the guidance of an armed ranger. Due to the close genetic connection between humans and gorillas, visitors showing signs of airborne illnesses are discouraged from approaching the gorillas. In more severe cases, rangers may deny access to trekking altogether, so it's recommended to treat any flu or cough before your trip. The trekking adventure lasts between 1 to 3 hours and can involve navigating slippery trails. You may choose to hire a local porter to assist with carrying your luggage or equipment. While gorilla tracking is the highlight of the day, there will be plenty of opportunities to spot birds and monkeys during your exploration of Uganda's beautiful rainforest. After the trek, you'll be awarded a certificate before transferring to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Game Drive and Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, we’ll embark on an exciting safari in the Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its scattered acacia trees and famous tree-climbing lions. You may also have the chance to spot leopards, buffalo, and hyenas. For bird enthusiasts, this sector offers salty crater lakes where flamingos can be seen during the day. Following lunch, you'll set out on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Albert. This area boasts one of the highest concentrations of hippos in the world, along with herds of buffalo and elephants gathering at the shores to drink. Remarkably, crocodiles in this region coexist peacefully with other animals. After the boat cruise, you’ll return to the lodge to relax.

Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you'll embark on another thrilling game drive, exploring more of Queen Elizabeth National Park's wildlife. Following this, you’ll visit the Lake Katwe community for a tour of the local salt mining operations. A lunch break is planned at the Garden Restaurant, followed by a visit to the Tooro Kingdom Palace for a cultural experience. Later in the evening, you'll arrive at Kibale National Park and check into your hotel for the night.

Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Community Experience

Begin your day with an early breakfast in preparation for an encounter with our primate cousins in the wild. If you choose chimpanzee habituation over tracking, it's advisable to bring enough drinking water, and a packed lunch is recommended. The day starts with a briefing from a ranger, who will provide guidelines for interacting with chimpanzees, birds, and monkeys. In the afternoon, we'll explore the local community, walking through small villages, swamps, and tea plantations. During the tour, locals will demonstrate how to make traditional crafts and herbal medicines. You'll also have the chance to sample some of the finest locally made coffee, gins, and beers. One of the highlights of this experience is spotting at least five different species of monkeys and possibly catching a glimpse of the striking blue turaco.

Transfer to Entebbe and Departure

We’ll depart early in the morning for Kampala, with a stop for lunch along the Kampala-Masaka highway near the Equator in Kayabwe. Upon arrival at the Equator, you'll have the opportunity to capture some fantastic photos and shop for unique souvenirs, including African clothing, paintings, and sculptures from the local craft shops. The drive, which takes 5 to 6 hours, will be a scenic journey through Uganda’s beautiful landscapes, leaving you refreshed.
